Welcome, “Ecclesia et Societas ” Workshop
–Research Group on the History of Medieval and Early Modern Europe

The workshop focuses on wide range of topics over “church and society” in the medieval and early modern ages. For example, church and politics, town and church, religious movement, and Christianity and other religions. But, topics related to church in the broader sense are also discussed: royal power, political institutions, literal culture, and iconography.
